NPC

Click to get a glimpse into North Point Church service

Been keeping busy lately and haven't said to much about NPC. They have been doing a financial service series called GREEN PEACE. It is from the Dave Ramsey stuff. We have really enjoyed it. Kyle and I are hooked on Dave Ramsey stuff now. Watch is show every night and Kyle has read the entire book and I have started it. There is just so much to be said for Financial freedom... Check this video out. We are thinking ahead to what our sign will say. ;-) Exciting.... How has Dave Ramsey's teachings changed your life? Of course alot of our debt is not our doing it's medial bills from my wreck.

Linda and her baby Grand daughter...

Linda and her Grand daughter Audrey

This is Linda and her Granddaughter at the hospital after her surgery on Tuesday. She got to go home yesterday, but had to return to the hospital last night since her blood pressure went up again. She is in ICU again this morning.

When she got released from the hospital yesterday she went and got her hair cut. She wanted something easy to handle. Not ever day that a hair dresser gets a request to cut someones hair that has had brain surgery 2 days before that. All went good with that...

When Linda was at the Dr. last week a couple pastors came and prayed with her. They felt lead to give her a verse. It is the exact verse Jonas had learned at school. He said it for her on Monday before her surgery. She thought that was kinda neat that the verse God had given to her to get through this was the verse he knew. Jeremiah 29:11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtlGWe4tYVA

Please be in prayer for her and the family. Her lab reports yesterday showed it is the real aggressive kind of cancer.

Update on my Aunt Linda from her son Jamey

The surgery went well yesterday, and Mom is recovering well. Her courage, resolve, and positive attitude are truly inspirational. No surprise there, right?! It now appears as if the mass in her lung is not cancerous. This means that the brain tumor is a primary brain tumor that originated in the brain, and the initial biopsy analysis agrees. This is typically an aggressive form of cancer. As she continues to recover from the surgery and we receive a pathology report from the surgery, we will explore the best course of action for her continued treatment.

Thank you so much for all your prayers from Linda....

The boys enjoyed a morning of playing outside and riding there bikes. They also love to climb trees! It is a beautiful day out this morning. I am loving the weather lately. I love to be outside and could stay out all day.

Boys love to climb up in trees.

Jeremiah and Malachi are swinging in the back yard.

This is me with my new short hair. My neck has been giving me problems, so I just went and got it chopped off. My neck is feeling better... I have neck/back pain from my injury in the wreck.

Jonas and Jeremiah checking out Jonas new book from CPO. Do you know if you sign up for there kids club you get free books on there birthdays? He picked out a veggie Tales book. We also got our tickets for the veggie Tales show in a couple weeks.

My Aunt Linda is scheduled for brain surgery tomorrow morning in Kansas City. She has a brain tumor and lung tumor. They are believed to be a very aggressive type of cancer.

Please be in prayer for her, her family, the doctors, family that is traveling today and that she will continue to have the peace that passes understanding about all this.

What if it happened to you???

I never knew until this last year how fast everything can change. I never thought the morning of June 7Th 2008 that I was going to be in a horrible accident. It was just any other day up until I was run off the road and rolled my van 3X's. In a few second my life was changed forever. It was very hard last year getting through all that, but with God's help I made it through just fine.

Last year my Father-In-Law was diagnosed with lung cancer. He has several miracles that I will talk more about another day, but he completely believed God was going to take care of him and he did. He had his lung surgery last summer and has been cancer free since. I'm sure he would tell you that God was there with him through the whole thing.

Just a little over a week ago my aunt Linda was running miles a day and living out her very happy life and the next day she finds out she has a brain tumor and lung cancer and instantly her life has changed. She is now fighting for her life. She is a very strong lady because she puts all her faith in God and is completely leaning on him.

Kyle and I passed a really bad wreck last weekend. Two cars had hit head on. One of the young men died and the other young man is in critical condition. The young man that was critically injured was on his way to work and i"m sure he never thought he would almost lose his life that day.

The reason I told you these things is because we never know what will happen even a second from now. Do you know where you will spend eternity? If you think well those things won't happen to me then think again because they can. Today take time to make Jesus Christ your lord and savior. If you put your life in Jesus hands you don't have to worry about what is around the corner. Even if you get horrible news you can face anything with God on your side. He will be there with you no matter what and loves you more than you can imagine. He never promised we wouldn't have hard times, but he does promise he will be there with us no matter what happens.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Please pray for my Aunt Linda

She got more bad news this afternoon. Last week she found out she has a brain tumor on the right side. Today her scans showed she also has a tumor in her lung. The Dr. thinks it is a real aggressive type of cancer. She will be having more scans Friday. If they don't find anymore tumors she will have brain surgery on Tuesday. Linda has a peace about all this and is ready to fight. Thanks for your prayers.

Catching up on my blog...

Last week both Kyle's parents and my parents came up to visits the boys. They enjoyed those visits. Gramps and Granny got the boys a Frosty and my parents brought them McDonald's chicken.

Over the weekend we tried really hard to have a garage sale, but it just boomed. It rained all weekend and we finally gave up. We did get to have the stuff out for a few hours on Friday morning and sold some stuff. Got a dresser and lawnmower out of the way. The boys sold some can of soda and enjoyed that. Jeremiah and Malachi would just sit there and wait for someone to say something to them. Jonas on the other hand ask everyone that came by if they wanted one. If they said no he'd ask them if they were sure. ;-)
Gramps (Allen) got some great news. He got a clean bill of health from his cancer Dr and doesn't have to have scans on his head anymore. That was great news!

Prayer request

Aunt Linda & I

Linda and her son Jamie

Please say a prayers for my Aunt Linda. She just found out she has a brain tumer. She wasn't feeling good and thought she had a stroke. When she went to the dr. they found the brain tumer. It is growing and already pushing on things and causing trouble. Her left hand wasn't working right and she couldn't type was the first thing she noticed. They are going to be running alot more tests this coming week. They are now looking for the primary tumer. Please say a prayer for her.
Enjoy the moment, don't worry about the future. It will take care of itself and there is nothing you can do to change it. If you spend all your time fearing what may or may not happen, you will look back on your journey with regret rather than joy.

A little of this and that...

Wednesday I was out running some errands early while Kyle had the boys and stopped in to say hello at therapy. Got to see everyone. I really do miss them. Not the therapy though. Mary thought my hand looked pretty good. She was disappointed they couldn't do the surgery on my wrist. That might have allowed me to not have to wear this splint all the time. Anyway, it was great to see Mary and all the gang. I hadn't been in in over two months. I was needing some stuff to wear under my splint and needed to find out where to get it. They may have to special order it at therapy since my arm is so little. My CRPS is doing pretty good when I eat a strict diet. Otherwise it will act up and I can't take care of the little people I love. So to give up some tasty treats is nothing to being able to enjoy life with Kyle and the boys.

I am enjoying the summer with my boys! I don't remember last summer... They are so precious and I love spending time with them. We go for walks and bike rides, park, library, swimming and lots more. They only have 5more weeks out of school. They are looking forward to school starting. Yes, my boys LOVE school... I am glad they do. I never liked school and it's hard when is like that... Jeremiah will be in 5th grade and moving to the next school. Jonas will be starting Kindergarten at public school. He attended a private k last year. Malachi will be attending preschool 1day a week starting this fall.

I can't wait for my MOPS group to start back up in Sept. I am also going to do childcare for 2 other mops groups 1day a week. Kyle has some dates he is going to be speaking starting in August or September. He is hoping to get more speaking dates set up soon.

All in All we are doing good. Having a rough time finding our spot in ministry and the devil really hits us hard when we get close... We have both been hit hard this week. Please pray for strength for us to stay strong... It's really hard to stay focused when you are getting hit at every turn.

After church last night we took the boys mini golfing. It was lots of fun... Then we went and hit some balls at the bating cages. I proved to myself I can still hit a mean ball. ;-) Feels good to be able to still do some stuff...

The boys are enjoying some ice-cream!

They were attaching poor daddy!

>
We had a great time at I love America last night! We got there a little after 5pm. We first ate some supper we had brought in our cooler and then we played games for awhile. Then we headed for some ice-cream and to listen to some music. The boys loved the fireworks. Well 2 of them anyway. Malachi did hide under the blankets part of the time. ;-) After the fireworks they had the group LeeLand come on stage and they were awesome.
